Air Conditioning?

Recommended Posts

Moving to the Bayside area in a few weeks from sweltering Florida (USA)... I have rarely had occasion to turn off my air! I am seeing a number of rentals without air...how hot will it be in summer? Am I crazy to rent a place without it? We are looking at Sandringham and Mentone and hope to be close to the water. It is possible to get portable units to use as needed? Thanks for the help!

I have ducted refrigerated air conditioning and I do use it when we have heat waves and if there is a bit of humidity about. Is not like Florida though and we do tend to have a dry heat here. You can buy mobile air conditioning units for $400 upwards depending on output.

We use aircon less than 10 days a year but on those 10 days we wouldnt be without it! Our first rental had no aircon and we could not go upstairs on hot days - the kids bedroom was up there and they had to sleep downstairs on those days.
