Hi all:smile:

My husband and I have our permanent visas sponsored by the Victorian government on my community nursing qualification, he is in IT.

Can I have your general consensus on whether it is easier/better to look for work from the UK or take the plunge and hope we can find work once we get there?

We are thinking at the moment to make a flying visit in October?

Any help/ideas would be fab.

That sounds positive !

the IT stuff, he can do lots of different things so hopefully it should be ok, several people have said though that unless you are in the country agencies and employers may not be interested in talking to you.

My job seems ok on paper but I've found that the actual employers want additional qualifications to those required for the skills assessment the Australian Nursing organisations require for me to register!

Thanks for the reply, it makes the process less lonely x

I work in IT and I found that no agency were interested until I could come and meet them. That was 4 years ago but I'm sure it's still the same today.
