Petrol prices
What's going on? All of a sudden the garage down the road has gone from $1.28 to $1.44...
is this likely to come down? I have read before that the price can change daily, but this seems really high.
just as my tank gets low too!

Petrol does change suddenly and they have certain days when it happens. They have been trying to fool us lately with lower prices but if that is what has happened in your area expect it will be happening elsewhere.
Not sure which is the cheapest day now. RACV has a petrol thingy on its site that gives the cheapest petrol station, however when its a hundred ks away not worth the travel lol

Petrol prices are so random and have never known prices to change so often. I saw it at $1.28 one night and then by the following morning it was up to $1.48 I was shocked. Up here I find Tuesday tends to be a better day for lower prices and certainly not the weekends.

I was wondering why it cost me more to fill up today (didnt pay that much attention to the price) :)

Ohhh you missed the weekend prices!!!.......there used to be a standing low weekday price but this seems to have dissapeared and left us all in a state of uncertainty....im not sure when its going back down, sorry....

Also noticed the difference - tried in vain to get my OH to fill the car at the weekend at $1.26 and last night it was $1.44
I keep the coupons that give the 4c/L off but that is nothing.

When we first came over the price use to go up for rush hour and drop again late morning before going back up for school time.
Then we use to have cheap Tuesday so everyone would fill up on Tuesday but then by weekend your car was empty and that's when fuel was the most expensive, so it was more of a clever marketing ploy lol.
BP service stations always seem the most expensive with the cheapest being United.
